[18.07.09] Sai Youth Manual - Promoting Inner Calm

"The external peace is a reflection of your internal peace; it is an echo. Peace alone is eternal Truth. It has great power. It confers eternal bliss. It is man’s principal treasure. You may be of brilliant intellect, or a wealthy person or a physically strong person, but all this is useless, if you do not have peace. By absence of attachment, desire and egoism, you can achieve peace. To gain peace is the only aim of life. Not name, fame and wealth. By leading a life of contentment, one achieves peace."

- Baba

Aim:
To awaken the peace within each individual by the vibrations brought about through peaceful activities.
To understand the importance of Faith.

Introduction:
When devotional songs are sung with pure love for God, they can have a calming healing effect on the singer and the listener. Exercises such as silent sitting, light (jyoti) meditation, management of thought, breath and time, and a reduction of desires and self-discipline in thought and action, can all have positive effects on health. They can also lead to a peaceful life.

Peace, is a state of equilibrium of the emotions. Once inner agitation has stopped we feel calm. To promote inner piece we can take part in whole-hearted service activities.
Engaging the mind in good thoughts and deeds will prevent it being occupied with useless, random thoughts.

Faith in God leads to piece of mind, because you are confident that whatever happens in life is a gift from God, and that God will take care of everything.
